Additional information:

Each season our teams are open for tryouts, to give new players a chance to challenge for a spot on the team roster. Tryouts are an hour in length and assess basic technical abilities, as well as tactical understanding.

In order for CCU to enter a u12 team into the state league we must have a minimum of 12 players per team and a maximum of 14. However, we potentially offer 2 additional “training player” spots for players “on the cusp” who show genuine interest in playing competitively, but are not quite ready for that level of play. This allows those players to receive advanced training, but not play in the games unless there is a roster spot open due to injury, illness, etc.

The Competitive program is for advanced level players and requires a significant level of commitment. The season runs from February - May. There are three training session a week. They alternate between BV and Salida. Games are on weekends. The schedule varies and games can be either on Saturday or Sunday, or both days, although most typically are on Saturday. The typical season requires travel to at least 5 away games that could be as far as Fort Collins.

Fees run around $250 per season. Tournaments are part of the season and typically require and over night stay. Tournament entry fees, travel, and lodging expenses are additional expenses. Players are required to purchase socks, shorts, shoes, and shin guards. Jerseys are provided.
